Roger Petersen is an illustrator and comic book artist who began his education under the mentorship of his grandfather, golden age comic artist George Evans.
Petersen graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration in 1996. He received the Harriet Pauline Hughes Award for Best Realistic Pen and Ink Illustration, as well as placing second for the William H. Ely Award for Excellence in Illustration.
He has worked for DC Comics, Dark Horse and Kitchen Sink Press as a penciller, inker and artist. Prominent titles include Swamp Thing, Subhuman, Death Rattle and Predator.
Roger's illustrations have been featured Locust Moon's Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, The Indian Jones Handbook, The Big Book of Wild Women and half a decade of Palladium Books' RPG adventures.
Outside of commissions, clients and personal work, Roger has also been employed as a scenic artist, housepainter, sign maker and bartender.
He makes an excellent Manhattan and never needs to use painter's tape to cut a line.
